The Mister Sister Mobile Health Service takes primary health care to rural communities, farmworkers and vulnerable people in remote areas of Namibia.
Mister Sister targets people living and working on farms and other remote populations who would otherwise not have easy access to health services.
Mister Sister provides all services which can be offered by a registered nurse. They are provided in accordance to Ministry of Health and Social Services protocol and directives.
The mobile clinics currently serve rural and remote populations in the Ojtozondjupa, Omaheke and Khomas regions on a fixed route schedule.
Serving Rural Communities in Namibia
The Mister Sister Mobile Health Service initiative aims to pioneer innovative healthcare services to meet the needs of lower income consumers in Namibia.
“ The clinic was able to diagnose workers who had severe and chronic ailments such as high blood pressure and sugar levels. Once identified workers were referred to a doctor who could immediately treat them and they got the necessary medication as well.”
